Jon Smith, CPO

 

Jon Smith, CPO is the President of Applied Orthotics and Prosthetics, a role he has held since acquiring the business in May 2024. With over a decade of leadership in the prosthetics and orthotics industry, Jon has consistently driven innovation and patient-centered care. Jon has served as President of Peninsula Prosthetics Inc. since November 2019. His extensive background also includes his time as Chief Clinical Officer at LIM Innovations from 2014 to 2019, where he developed and commercialized the Infinite Socket TF & TT products. He led a team of 15 across domestic and international markets, providing care in 11 countries. Jon's passion for education is reflected in his tenure as an Assistant Professor of Prosthetics and Orthotics at UCSF Medical Center from 2013 to 2014, where he led clinical operations at the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute and developed the prosthetics portion of the Functional Limb Service (FLS). Based in the peninsula, in the Bay Area, California, Jon continues to lead the prosthetics industry with a focus on technology, patient outcomes, and community education.
